Experience

My first career began in banking.  After a few years, I decided to pursue a career in education.  I went back to school to receive my teaching license in business education from UNC-G.  I began teaching at Ledford in 1996.  After the birth of my twins, I left education to stay home.  When my children turned five, I called Ledford, and begged for my job.   They were gracious enough to allow me to come back to Ledford.  After a couple of years, my husband's job re-located us to Louisville, KY where I worked as a GED instructor for Kentucky Youth Center.  We were transferred back to this area where I once again called Ledford.  My career in teaching has not been linear, but I have always wanted to stay at Ledford.  I hope to stay at Ledford until I retire.
