"Congratulations to Madison Craig for being selected as one of the winners of the N.C. Fight the Bite campaign. Madison is a member of LHS HOSA and Mrs. Stowe's Health Science II-Honors class at Ledford High School. The North Carolina Division of Public Health, Communicable Disease Branch had entries submitted from across the state to help education North Carolinians about the prevention of vector borne diseases. Ticks and mosquitoes are known for illnesses across our state including Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Lyme Disease, and La Crosse Encephalitis. Madison's work will be featured on the NC Division of Public Health's website and she will be honored at an awards ceremony at the end of April. She submitted her work as part of a community service project for her Health Science II-Honors class. Congratulations Madison! We are very proud of you!"
