Class Eligibility Requirements and Information:

*Students must be 14.5 years old on or before the first day of class. We will post the eligibility date on the webpage;

*Students must provide contact information when registering;

*Students may NOT miss the first day of class. If you cannot attend the first day, then you will need to select a different class to attend;

*Students must attend all 30 hours of the class instruction. One make-up session of 2 hours will be held the day after the last scheduled class day. If a student misses more than 2  hours, they will have to register for the next class and complete that 30 hour class.

*Students must complete all assignments diligently and be completed seriously and on time;

*The total cost of the class and behind-the-wheel is $65 and should be paid using the student’s School Cash Online account;

*Classes are held until the 30 hours is completed.  All late and/or absent time must be made up as well as there work. More than three tardies will result in removal from the class.

The webpage will be updated for the next class once the currently posted class begins. There will be a link and all the registration and class information.

Please do not try and pay for the class when registering. We collect the payment at least one week prior to the first day of class through School Cash Online. If you have an issue with that method of payment, contact the school treasurer.

Classes are usually limited to the oldest 36 students who register and pay by the deadline. An email will be sent by Mr. Davis after the registration closes for each class.  That email will be your confirmation about being in the class.  Once that email is sent, the School Cash Online payment window will be opened by the treasurer at the school.  It may take a day after the email Mr. Davis sends for the fee to be added to the School Cash Online account.  NOTE: Students are guaranteed a seat in the class once they have paid, so it is not a first come first served.   The payment window will open December 8-18 and will be through School Cash Online and will be attached to the student’s account during those dates.

Behind-The -Wheel Information

Please do not ask about when the student will be completing the behind-the-wheel portion.  You may have one or two students you are asking for, but we have over 250 students that take the class each year and that is many emails and phone calls we return for this specific question.  If your student finishes a class and their birthday is within a couple of weeks, we will not be able to get them finished before their birthday.

Each class has a varied age group that has older and younger students. Once students complete the classwork, they are put in age order. Students may be younger and drive before older students since a March class student that was the youngest in his/her class may be scheduled to drive before a July class student since we try to schedule drivers three to four weeks ahead. Students are asked to provide mobile phone contacts that will be used by the instructor to schedule the behind-the-wheel training.
