For the Parents
We have attached a document below that informs you of the Points of Emphasis reviewed by administration to prepare students for a successful year during their grade level meetings.
LHS Class Meetings Back to School.pdf
The PSAT is considered good practice for taking the SAT. It is open to 11th graders and 10th graders. Juniors can benefit from taking the PSAT by meeting a criteria for selected private scholarships, and National Merit Scholarships are linked to the PSAT.
Point of consideration for 10th graders, another test required for all enrolled 10th grade homeroom students will be given 2 weeks before called the PreACT. Time for these tests will be both 1st and 2nd Periods.
If interested contact Mr. Mercer in Student services by Sept 15. You must sign up for the PSAT.
We have a current opening for a Bus Driver
If you are looking for an opportunity to serve your community or know someone who might can offer their mornings and afternoons for a couple of hours, we have a need for Bus Drivers on a daily basis. We currently have one bus we are running without regular drivers, overburdening a small pool of subs. I find these are great opportunities for those who have recently retired and are looking to remain active and do something positive in the community. Bus Drivers are the first adults our student see in the morning and sometime just a smile and a greeting can set the tone for a good day at school. If interested, please contact Dr. Richardson at 769-9671 for an interview and more information.
