WHO: Seniors whose parent’s on-the-job death or catastrophic injury resulted in a substantial decline in family income.

Sun Trust Off To College Scholarship/Drawing ($500)

WHO:  Seniors planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college. 

HOW:  Go to www.offtocollege.info to enter.

WHEN:  Apply between now and May 12, 2017.  Drawing to be held every 2 weeks starting Oct. 28, 2016. You may enter once each 2-week period.

 

Davidson County Association of Educators ($250)

WHO: Seniors planning to pursue a degree in education.

HOW: Obtain application from Student Services

WHEN: Return to Mrs. Sheets by April 27, 2017.

 

New, New Logo, New Sign, New ...Ike Kearney Memorial Scholarship (varies)

WHO: Seniors planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college who have completed a Career and Technical Education cluster.

HOW: Obtain an application from Student Services or Mrs. Scott

WHEN: Return ALL components of the application to Mrs. Scott or Mrs. Sheets by 3pm April 27, 2017.

 

Allison Hunt Memorial Scholarship ($1,000)

WHO: Seniors who have demonstrated a positive, determined attitude in response to an adversity in his/her life. Must submit an essay.

HOW: Pick up application in Student Services

WHEN: Return application and essay to Mrs. Sheets by April 28, 2017

 

New, New Logo, New Sign, New ...Susan Beasley Memorial Scholarship ($300)

WHO: Seniors who have taken a course in Marketing Education at Ledford and has at least a “B” average.

HOW: Pick up application in Student Services

WHEN: Return application to Mrs. Sheets by April 28, 2017

 

 

Eta Beta Beta Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. HS Scholarship ($1,000)

WHO: Seniors who will maintain full time status at a nationally accredited, 4-year college, beginning in the fall of 2017. Must have a GPA of 2.5, demonstrate leadership involvement, and reside in Davidson County.

HOW: Obtain application from Student Services

WHEN: Application must be postmarked by Monday, May 1, 2017.

 

New, New Logo, New Sign, New ...North Davidson Chamber of Commerce Scholarship ($1,000)

WHO: Seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited technical school, two, or four year college/university. Scholastic achievement, extra-curricular activities, and financial need are considered.

HOW: Obtain an application from Student Services

WHEN: Application must be turned into Mrs. Sheets in Student Services by May 1, 2017

 

New, New Logo, New Sign, New ...Giving Tree Community Scholarship ($1,000)

WHO: Seniors in the top 15% of their class who demonstrate leadership, teamwork, community involvement and service, and an attitude of perseverance in overcoming adversity.

HOW: Obtain an application from Student Services

WHEN: Application must be turned into Mrs. Sheets by May 1, 2017

 

New, New Logo, New Sign, New ...A. Stuffer Myers Young Artist Scholarship ($250 renewable)

WHO: Seniors who are residents of Davidson County and plan on majoring in an eligible arts discipline (See application for details)

HOW: Obtain application from Student Services

WHEN: Applications must be scanned/emailed or mailed and received by Arts Davidson County by May 8, 2017 

 

J. Howard Coble Scholarship

WHO: Seniors residing in Davidson or Guilford county who will be attending a 2 or 4 year college. Scholarship will be awarded to one or more students who demonstrate the ideals and leadership qualities of Congressman Coble, including high moral character and good citizenship. Priority will be given to children of U.S. military personnel or U.S. military veterans, members of scouting programs, and members of ROTC programs.

WHEN: Applications must be postmarked or hand delivered to the High Point Community Foundation by May 10, 2017

New, New Logo, New Sign, New ... SeniorCare.com Aging Matters Scholarship ($1,500)
WHO: Seniors planning to attend any 2 or 4 year accredited college or university as a full-time student.

WHEN: Apply by May 15, 2017

 

B. Davis Scholarship ($1,000)

WHO: Available to all high school juniors and seniors. Not an academic scholarship, but students should include information about their current school and their future academic plans. Scholarship requires an essay of less than 1000 words.

HOW: Visit http://www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships.htm for information and to apply.

WHEN: Submissions must be emailed to awards@studentawardsearch.com by May 22, 2017.

North State Law Enforcement Officers Association ($500-$1000)

WHO: Seniors who have at least a 3.0 GPA, are residents of NC, and plan on majoring in some area of Criminal Justice or related field.

HOW: Obtain application in Student Services

WHEN: Applications must be mailed and RECEIVED by June 1, 2017.

 

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program ($1,000)

WHO: High school juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply.

HOW: Visit www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.htm to view the essay topic. Submit essay that is between 500 and 1000 words. Submit essay and required information to listed email address.

WHEN: Submissions must be entered by June 12, 2017

New, New Logo, New Sign, New ...Horatio Alger Association Career and Technical Scholarship ($2,500)

WHO: Seniors planning to attend a 2-year college who demonstrate financial need by being Pell-eligible according to FAFSA, community involvement, and perseverance in overcoming adversity.

HOW: Go to application.horatioalger.org to apply

WHEN: Applications are due June 15, 2017 for priority review

 

BigSun Scholarship ($500)

WHO: Seniors who are student athletes.

HOW: Visit www.bigsunathletics.com to view application procedures and essay topic.
